How can I test different ads in Google AdWords?

You can test different ads in Google AdWords by creating multiple ads in each ad group. Google will automatically rotate your ads and place the higher performing ads more frequently.

When launching an ad campaign in Google AdWords, it is strongly recommended that you test different ads in each ad group. To do so, you simply enter the ad group section of the Google AdWords campaign manager, click on the “Ads” tab, and select the “New Ad” button. You can create as many new ads as you need in order to test different ad copy.

Once you finish creating all your ads, Google will automatically rotate each of your ads so that you can see which ads perform better than others. Over time, once Google calculates the performance of each ad, Google begins to show higher performing ads more frequently. But if you’ve already determined which ads are performing better, you can either pause or delete poorly performing ads, which is the purpose of testing different ads in Google AdWords.
