How many Google AdWords campaigns do I need?

You should maintain one Google AdWords campaign for each of your product lines or brands. If you’re selling only one product or one category of similar products, you may only need to create one campaign in Google AdWords.

Google allows you to create new Google AdWords campaigns with a simple click of a button. Each campaign will contain ad groups, ads and keywords. If you’re selling a number of completely different product lines or brands, it’s a good idea to create different campaigns for each of them. That way, you can customize each of your ad groups, ads and keywords for each product line or brand.

If you’re only selling one product or one category of similar products, one Google AdWords campaign should be sufficient. You’ll still be able to create different ad groups and ads within that one campaign to target each product or each demographic individually.
